Good to know

Getting thereGreater Moncton (YQM), then 20 minutes northeast via Highway 15 to Parlee Beach Provincial Park in Shediac. A car is needed; the park enforces a vehicle entry fee (roughly $17.39 CAD plus tax) at the gate. The easternmost end of the boardwalk is the cleanest launch, away from the central tourist areas.
HazardsThe main hazard is sheer beachgoer density in peak summer โ€” stay completely outside the supervised lifeguard flags. Long, shallow sandbars can create a disorienting onshore shorebreak in heavy northerly wind. Check local marine notices for water-quality/pollution advisories after heavy rain.
Best time of dayLate afternoon, when the NE or E sea breeze peaks. Low tide exposes large sand flats โ€” plenty of safe space for launching and packing down gear.
