Getting thereWest coast of Anglesey, about 2 hours from Manchester Airport via the A55. A car is essential; paid municipal parking at Broad Beach or along town streets. Broad Beach (Traeth Crigyll) is the cleanest, most direct access.
HazardsDangerous, jagged rock outcrops ('Clock Rock' and surrounding reefs) sit fully submerged and hidden at high tide. Study rock locations at low tide first, respect the genuinely large tidal range here, and be ready for a heavy, dumping Atlantic shorebreak.
Best time of dayMid-tide on a rising cycle â covers the lowest rocks while leaving plenty of sand for safe launch/landing. Afternoon sessions work best when SW winds align with local coastal thermal enhancement.
