Getting thereZallaq, southwest coast of Bahrain, about 45 minutes from Manama or the airport. A car is mandatory; a large public lot runs parallel to the renovated public beachfront. The dedicated water sports zone at the far southern end is the only legal launch area.
HazardsA shallow stone shelf close to shore can catch fins or foil masts at low tide. Respect the strict seasonal beach regulations partitioning kiters from crowded public swimming areas and municipal picnic facilities.
