Which watches work with Windy Guide
Windy Guide's watch app records your session on your wrist — jumps, height, airtime, landing G-force, GPS track, speed and heart rate — with no phone needed while you ride. It installs on 48 watches. Which of its two modes you get isn't decided by the model: the app measures your watch's own motion sensors the first time you open it.
Which one will my watch run?
Your watch decides, not the model name. The app asks the watch how fast its accelerometer can actually sample. At 50 Hz or more it runs Space Mode; below that, Earth Mode. Garmin publishes no sample rate for any model and watchOS offers no equivalent figure, so this is measured rather than looked up — and a top-tier watch is not a guarantee.
Check it in ten seconds: open WGG on the watch and look at the menu.
- Mission appears — jump detection passed. That item is where you switch between Space and Earth.
- No Mission item — the watch runs Earth Mode, and doesn’t offer a mode it can’t deliver.
Rotations and trick type need a gyroscope as well, checked separately. A watch without one still records height, airtime, distance and landing G-force — it just can’t name the trick.
