A small harbour town roughly an hour south of Langebaan on South Africa's West Coast β a long, clean, relatively slow-breaking wave that picks up more swell than the Cape Town spots, with the same strong southeasterly summer thermal.

Getting thereWest Coast, about 1 hour north of Cape Town International Airport (CPT) via the R27. A car is completely mandatory; free gravel parking parallel to Main Beach beach front. The expansive shoreline gives a massive, unobstructed launch zone.
HazardsThe Benguela current makes the water genuinely, brutally cold β thick wetsuits and proper thermal gear matter year-round. Faces the open Atlantic with a real shorebreak, strong longshore current, and heavy undertow, with no organized safety rescue boats.
Best time of dayAfternoon, November-March, when the South-Easter gets heavily accelerated by thermal drawing off the dry interior. Late afternoon gives the most powerful, consistent wind and cleanest wave faces for advanced riders.
