Getting thereFly into ANR Robinson International (TAB) in Tobago, a 5-10 minute drive/taxi to the southwestern tip. A car is convenient but not essential from Crown Point; entry requires passing through the Pigeon Point Heritage Park gate with a small daily fee per person. Secure parking is right behind the main coconut grove launch site.
HazardsThe main riding zone is protected by the Buccoo Reef, but the interior lagoon has patches of shallow coral and sea urchins. Watch for heavy tourist boat traffic, glass-bottom reef tours, and jet skis near the thatch-roof jetty. Wind can get slightly gusty right at the shoreline due to palm trees and buildings.
Best time of dayAll day during the winter/spring trade wind season (December-June). Mornings offer fewer crowds and smoother conditions inside the reef; afternoons bring the strongest, most consistent trade winds.
