Getting thereHel Peninsula, roughly 1 hour from Gdańsk Lech Wałęsa Airport (GDN) via Route 216 — summer traffic can double that. A car helps, but a local train runs directly to Chałupy station; paid parking inside the various beachside campsites. Water access is through one of the designated campsite surf schools on the Puck Bay side.
HazardsThe Puck Bay side has vast waist-deep water, but watch for shallow sandbars, narrow wooden fishing piers, and heavy kite traffic. Respect the marked zones to avoid drifting into deep navigation channels or windsurfing lanes.
Best time of dayMorning through afternoon, when W or N winds blow cleanly across the peninsula. Morning sessions in July/August are worth prioritizing to avoid the severe mid-summer crowds on the water.
